I'll give you a better idea. Skip Pandaphone. Buy a Nokia 770. With Gizmo project no the Nokia 770 you can call the USA from China for about 2 cents a minute.

The difference between 48 cents and 2 cents will pay for your Nokia 770 in no time.

Next catch... maybe China haa VOIP ports blocked (I have no idea). Run openvpn and connect through an encrypted connection back to your home system and use Gizmo voip blocking or not.

You can even just grab a cheap china gsm phone in china.. the prices in china are low.. so you should have no probs at all.
